What Teamwork means to me – Tamsin Raistrick

Employee values

Teamwork – greatness is not achieved by one person alone.

We are based in different hemispheres, proudly working collectively as one united team, all contributing to something bigger, together. We foster an environment of team spirit where all people feel a sense of family and belonging. We encourage collaboration in addition to independent decision making – it unlocks potential for all of us individually, as well as for the business (teamwork makes the dream work). We firmly champion inclusion that reflects the world around us, treating everyone with dignity and respect no matter their age, gender, cultural background, or other unique qualities.

Tamsin, from our Australia team, shares her views and experiences of teamwork, one of our employee values. Her role is Business and Executive Support Lead, and she’s based in our head office in Perth. She lives and breathes this value so naturally, she was the first person we thought of to speak about teamwork at FrothStop Group.

“Collaboration resonates with me the most. I value the opportunity to be involved in different aspects of the business, working together with others to achieve shared success.”

Describe a time when you worked across our teams or departments to deliver something together. What challenges and successes did you have?

“I’ve had several experiences working across teams to deliver outcomes for clients. One example is collaborating with the operations department to meet a client’s requirements. While there were logistical challenges, we developed a clear plan, and everyone involved worked together to get the job done.

Another example is building and maintaining strong relationships across timezones, particularly between Australia and Poland. I’ve worked on a range of projects with the Polish team, and each collaboration has helped strengthen our working relationships. I also make it a priority to have regular catch-ups with the team in Poland to maintain and nurture these connections.”

When have you supported a team member or stepped up to help someone else succeed? What was the outcome?

“This isn’t a singular occurrence for me, but rather something that happens every day. It’s important to regularly touch base with the team to identify any sticking points that can be alleviated. While everyone is busy, sometimes simply taking one task off someone’s plate can help move things forward and show genuine support.”

Tell us about a time when inclusive teamwork mattered, when including diverse viewpoints, cultures, or experiences improved the work.

“I don’t think there’s just one specific time when inclusive teamwork mattered, because teamwork is always essential. Without the contribution of every team member, we wouldn’t be able to achieve our success. It’s important to value each colleague’s experience and viewpoint, and to actively listen to their suggestions. From there, we delegate actions accordingly, and the completion of each task collectively ensures the success of the overall job.”
