What Innovation means to me – Piotr Englart

Employee values

Innovation – we believe in maintaining unwavering innovator spirit.

Innovation is sparked by ideas, and ideas are sparked by diverse perspectives. We are curious, adaptable, visionary – a team of the best and brightest. We take smart risks and set the bar high as we continually think, develop, deliver, improve and scale. We work hard on finding new solutions, and then we do it again and again. Our best innovation work continues to prosper, and we all play a part in bringing it into fruition.

Piotr, from our Poland team, shares his views and experiences of innovation, one of our employee values.

“For me, innovation isn’t just about creating something entirely new – it’s also about continuously improving what already exists. It’s a process of thinking, testing, and refining until we achieve better, more effective solutions. I also love that innovation at FrothStop combines curiosity, vision, and courage – these are the elements that drive us to take smart risks and discover new possibilities.”

When you think about FrothStop and Innovation – how do you think the company lives it’s value to maintain high quality?

“For me, innovation at FrothStop really comes to life through the people in the field. Their day-to-day experiences and feedback help shape practical improvements that make our solutions more reliable and effective. By listening closely to those who use and maintain our machines on the ground, we can continuously raise the bar for quality and create innovations that truly work where it matters most.”

Share a story where collaborating with someone from another role/location (Australia ↔ Poland) sparked a creative idea or innovation.

“We once had to intensify collaboration with the team in Australia due to the climate differences between Europe and Australia, as well as the widely used central cooling systems there. The experience and insights of our colleagues in Australia proved invaluable, significantly influencing the design and solutions we applied in our machines, which allowed us to improve them considerably. Through joint prototyping and idea exchange, we discovered solutions that enhanced both the accuracy and safety of the machines. The final design performed better than the original and was implemented globally. This collaboration clearly showed how diverse perspectives can drive meaningful innovation.”

Describe a time when you used feedback (from customers, field engineers, etc.) to change or improve a machine, software feature, or service process. What did you change, and how did it help?

“A few months ago, we received feedback from people working in the field that one of the machine modules was difficult to service, which was causing longer downtime. Based on their input, we worked with the design team to completely rethink the module – simplifying the mechanism and adding easier service access. As a result, the servicing time was significantly reduced, which increased user satisfaction and improved the overall efficiency of the machines in the field. This experience showed how valuable it is to listen to the people who work with our solutions every day.”

Tell us about a process, tool, or approach you introduced (or helped introduce) that made work easier, safer, or more reliable.

“In our design department we introduced a more advanced, professional CAD tool together with file-versioning software. At the same time, we standardized naming conventions and created unified project templates. These changes significantly streamlined our workflow and boosted overall efficiency. The new program is more reliable and includes automation for generating technical documentation, which both simplifies and speeds up daily work. As a result, the productivity of the entire design team has improved noticeably.”
