What Growth means to me – Kinga Szlęk

Employee values

Growth – we don’t go to work, we grow through work.

Our goal is to help each team member be “the best you that you can be” – recognised and rewarded for commitment and positive impact. Every person does more than just work with us; they add something special that keeps the business growing. Every voice is heard, and we encourage autonomy to inspire minds and help our people spread their own wings. We aim for a “No Ceiling” policy to empower everyone to achieve purpose and goals beyond their roles. Some of us want to explore new places. Others are here to explore their own career potential. Internal mobility means it’s all possible. It’s a rewarding journey – and we’re just getting started.

Kinga, from our Poland team, shares her views and experiences of growth, one of our employee values. Her role is Production Manager, and she’s based in our head office in Krakow.

“Every experience is a lesson on the path of evolution, on the path of our development. Both successes and failures are supportive, from which we can learn and gain wisdom in creating better solutions and becoming better at what we do.”

When you think about how FrothStop Group lives it’s value of growth – what do you think of?

“I joined a company that already had its own product, but is constantly developing, improving, and refining it. This allows us as a team to grow as well.”

Describe a time at FrothStop Group when you learned something new that helped you move forward in your role or opened up new opportunities.

“When I joined FrothStop, it was a completely new industry for me, one in which I had no experience. What I found valuable was the team’s openness to sharing their knowledge to enable others to develop. Thanks to the fact that the team is made up of people from different cultures and generations, this transfer of knowledge is faster and smoother. Every piece of feedback is a valuable tip for the future for me.”

When have you taken initiative to grow (skills, responsibilities, role)? What motivated you, and what changed as a result?

“There was no single turning point that prompted me to take the initiative to develop personally. However, at a certain point in my life, despite my personal development as a mother of two daughters, I felt that I also wanted to develop professionally and decided to pursue this at FrothStop Group together with the team.”

Tell us about a moment when you stepped into something new or taken on a project outside your comfort zone. What was the experience like, and how did you grow?

“By nature, I am a person who likes to investigate in order to understand a given problem. This allows me to broaden my horizons and constantly improve myself. As a result, stepping outside my comfort zone is an integral part of my life. I realize that we operate in a VUCA world, and that change, openness to these changes, and the ability to adapt to them are something that accompanies us every day.  I try to make the most of them.”

Share a story of someone else (coworker, mentor) helping you grow, or you helping someone else, and how that had a lasting impact.

I really like the fact that production technicians are eager to share their comments and suggestions, which allows us to improve the product we offer in cooperation with the entire Frothstop team and enables the professional development of each of us. In addition, teamwork between people with different experiences and character traits allows us to develop interpersonal skills, such as communication, which also translates into the effectiveness of our work, inspiring us to further growth.
